In 2007 opende hij zijn solofotografietentoonstelling "PHOTO IS". In mei 2010, nadat hij het tv-station had verlaten, werd Sariyama Mariko freelance fotograaf. In juli 2012 verscheen hij op de cover van Playboy's badpak. In juni 2013 maakte hij bekend in de blog.
